Brief History of INFIELD FC

Formed in 1996 Infield began life as a U17 youth side, competing in the U18 section of the Thundermite Junior Youth Football League.

Starting in the "A" Division, finishing third was subsequently promoted to the Thundermite Premier division the following season, where they finished runners up before having to retire from youth football.

1998-Infield made a successful application to the Pope & Smith Chelmsford football League (P&SCSL) for membership. Making an immediate impact by winning the divisional cup, highest goals scored for the entire league and narrowly missing out the divisional league and cup double by finishing runners up in the division 5 and promotion to division 4.

1999-Life in division 4 was some what different to what Infield had been used to, results being some what mixed but never the less the true character of the club shone through for them to finish runners up, gaining promotion for the second consecutive season.

2000-Having now finished second on three separate occasions will Infield be the bridesmaid or the bride this season? One thing is for sure, having played Infield once clubs know they have to be at their best if they are to get a result.
